Student Life At Score Academy

Our intimate, supportive environment lends itself to students developing strong relationships with their peers and teachers.

A small class or one-on-one education doesn’t limit friendships. Our intimate, supportive environment lends itself to students developing strong relationships with their peers and teachers. The Score ‘family’ includes faculty and staff who are vested in student success. Fostering a sense of camaraderie based upon responsibility, accountability, and collaboration is an important part of the school experience. Here are some of the ways we accomplish this:

  • Regular meetings with the Head of School
Students meet individually, and as a group, to discuss issues, school-related activities, or sometimes just to vent. These meetings allow students to share ideas and develop communication skills that will serve them well beyond their time with us.

  • Faculty Mentors
The very nature of our individualized education provides an exceptional opportunity for our staff to lend a helpful ear to every student. We meet with students both formally and informally during the school day to provide counsel, guidance, thought-provoking questions, and occasionally some concrete answers to life’s questions. We love to celebrate success and look toward the future.

  • Clinical Support
For those students who require additional support, Score Academy has built trusted relationships with a diverse set of providers to whom we may refer families seeking additional support.

After School

Students make take advantage of options to enrich their daily schedule – and their transcript! Score Workshops focus on academic and personal success, and encourage students to expand their interests by arousing curiosity about the world around us.

  • Study Skills Workshop
Take the ‘Home’ out of homework! This is the perfect resolution to the nightly battles over homework. Students may remain with us after school to complete work assignments with the help of our faculty members.

  • Wellness Workshop
We’ll provide students with guidance about how to make smart health choices when it comes to physical, emotional, and mental well-being. An exercise component will build upon topics that include nutrition, goal setting, and drug and alcohol education.

  • Art & Music Workshop
Customizable and based on student interest, this workshop is a perfect way for students to unleash their creativity (and potentially earn academic credit).

  • Career Development Workshop
Life after high school – a world of opportunity awaits! Regardless of the educational or vocational path they choose, students can focus now on a variety of career development activities including: goal setting, career research, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation – and more.
