Score Academy Accepts State Scholarships Through Step Up For Students

At Score Academy, we are proud to accept a variety of state-funded scholarships that help make our individualized private school experience accessible to more Florida families. Through the Step Up For Students program, eligible students can receive significant financial support to attend Score Academy campuses in Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, and Wellington (we will extend tuition credit to Parent(s) in an amount equal to the anticipated scholarship awards at any Score location that has not been approved yet).

These scholarships are designed to give families greater control over their child’s education—ensuring that every student, including those with unique learning needs, can learn in an environment tailored to their strengths and goals.

Step Up For Students Scholarships Accepted at Score Academy:

• Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA)
  Formerly the McKay Scholarship, this program supports students with special needs by funding tuition at participating private schools like Score Academy.
• Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO)
  Available to students from lower- to middle-income families, this scholarship helps cover tuition at private schools of their choice.
• Florida Tax Credit (FTC) Scholarship
  Provides financial assistance to eligible families based on income and other criteria, enabling access to private education.
• Hope Scholarship
  Offers options for students who have experienced bullying or other adverse incidents in public school.
• Reading Scholarship
  Provides support for public school students in grades 3–5 who struggle with reading.
• Family Empowerment Scholarship (AAA - FES-UA)
  Administered by AAA, this version of the FES-UA offers additional pathways for students with unique abilities.

How to Apply

Families interested in utilizing these scholarships to attend Score Academy must apply directly through the Step Up For Students website. If your child has an Individual Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Accommodation Plan, they may qualify for the FES-UA, which can significantly reduce or cover the cost of tuition.
