Score Academy Miami
Score Academy Miami's PEP Hybrid program gives Personalized Education Program students in-person time with our teachers two days a week, alongside the curriculum and providers your family already uses.
In-person days
PEP hours run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The program
The Personalized Education Program (PEP) is a Florida Tax Credit Scholarship option administered by Step Up For Students. It gives families an education savings account for approved expenses, and it serves K-12 students who are not enrolled full time in a public or private school.
A PEP Hybrid school is a registered Florida private school where PEP students attend in person at least two school days a week. Instruction for the remaining time happens at home under the student's Student Learning Plan.
At Score Academy Miami, that means a real classroom, real teachers, and a schedule that leaves room for how your family already does school.

PEP hours run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Each in-person day is a block of at least 5 hours (4 hours for grades K-3) within those hours.
Need a different time? Our campus is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and other arrangements can be made for interested families.
Both cohorts have 73 in-person days in 2026-27. Classes run from August 19, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and June 1-3, 2027, are exam days for grades 9-11.
We record arrival and departure times each day.
Cohort A attends on Tuesday and Wednesday that week. Those Tuesdays are:

Home days
You pick the curriculum. We work with it. On home days, students follow the curriculum and providers listed in their Student Learning Plan, whether that means a textbook series, an online program, a tutor, or a mix of all three.
Our staff review the plan with your family, including courses, materials, online programs, and tutors. Our teachers then align on-campus instruction to it.
Teachers review completed at-home work against your child's pacing, then reteach or assess as needed.
Families share progress records from their providers, such as grade reports, portal access, or work samples. Our staff review them weekly.
We meet with your family and adjust the plan.
Your part
Your scholarship is managed through Step Up For Students, not through Score Academy.
Your plan in Step Up's EMA system must address the instructional time your child spends away from campus.
PEP students must take a norm-referenced test each year, and the results go to Step Up For Students before renewal.
PEP students cannot enroll full time in a public school or a traditional private school.
Paying with PEP
Tuition and required fees for an approved PEP Hybrid school are eligible PEP expenses.
PEP Hybrid students do not use the school enrollment function in EMA. Families either pay through the school's EMA Marketplace offering or pay us directly and request reimbursement from Step Up For Students. Admissions can give you current tuition and fees and walk you through the options.
Program status
Score Academy Miami has applied to the Florida Department of Education for PEP Hybrid approval. Until approval is in place, PEP funds cannot be used for this program, through direct payment or reimbursement. Our admissions team can tell you where things stand.
Score Academy is Cognia accredited and part of Score At The Top, a family-owned Florida education company with a 40-year track record. On campus days, your child works directly with our teachers in a setting built around individual and small-group attention.
Students who already hold a 2026-27 PEP scholarship. Step Up For Students closed 2026-27 PEP applications after the April 30, 2026, deadline. Contact admissions about available start dates.
Sign up with Step Up For Students to be notified when 2027-28 applications open. PEP is open to Florida K-12 students at any household income, and award amounts vary by county.
No. Your Student Learning Plan sets the at-home curriculum and providers. We ask you to share progress records so our teachers can support that work on campus days.
No. PEP funds cannot pay for full-time enrollment at a traditional private school. Score Academy Miami also offers a full-time, in-person program, and admissions can explain how it differs.
PEP Hybrid at Score Academy Miami is open to students in grades K-12.
Step Up For Students handles PEP accounts, eligibility, and reimbursements. Call 1-877-735-7837 or see the PEP Family Handbook and PEP Purchasing Guide. Before you make a purchase, confirm with Step Up that it qualifies for reimbursement.
Bring your Student Learning Plan and your questions. We'll help you figure out which cohort fits your week.
